On the subject of farming: In addition to working a few seasons at Waterfront Farm, I picked parsnips at Knight’s Farm. Not being too familiar to this vegitable, I assumed I was filling baskets with “Albino” carrots… I also got my foot run over by the a loaded farm trailer. The soil was still soft on that late Autum day and my boot sunk into it under the weight of the trailer. The tire rolled gently over my boot with no injury to me. Dick Walsh was famous for his admonisions as was Dick Knight. The latter often prefacing a shout down with “Snap Out Of It”… Although I wouldn” know Ellenor Woodman if I tripped over her. My Mother and she were pals back in the day. I have met Irving Woodman and know him to be a hard working and likable individual. Ellenor had fallen out of favor with my family after having had a few decades “Affair” with one of my great uncles… You could look it up…
